RAISIN BREAD POPULAR IN B.C.

B.C. consumers love raisin bread, while Ontarians and Quebecers hate it. Sales of the product in B.C. increased 135% last year, while sales in Ontario and Quebec declined 3.5% and 4.2% respectively, according to ACNielsen. Raisin bread sales in Manitoba and Saskatchewan combined increased 58%, while Alberta sales jumped 42% and Maritimes raisin bread sales grew 7.6%. The national average was 7%.
