New York City opens tourism office in Toronto

NYC & Company, the official marketing and tourism organization of the City of New York, has opened an office in Toronto. The office will conduct marketing and public relations activities intended to attract residents of Toronto to New York. According to the organization, Toronto is the second-largest international travel market for the city. "The opening of a tourism marketing office in Canada comes at a pivotal time with the Canadian dollar hitting record highs against the US dollar," said George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company. "With the economic advantages of traveling to New York City, we believe that there's no better time than now to establish a more formal presence in this key market."
