Corel hires marketing vice-president

Ottawa-based software company Corel has appointed Kevin Thornton senior vice-president of sales and marketing for the Americas. He will lead the company's sales and marketing efforts in that region, with an emphasis on expanding Corel's reach through retailers, resellers, original equipment manufacturers and online service providers. He was previously senior vice-president of sales at Sage Software. Thornton has worked for Corel before, as vice-president of sales for the Americas.
