LG Electronics Canada readies Red Couch campaign

LG Electronics Canada will begin a marketing campaign called "Red Couch" in Montreal on Sept. 26. The three-day promotion is tied to the upcoming President's Cup golf tournament. The street promotion will take the form of a 68-yard golf hole constructed in downtown Montreal. Passers-by will be invited to play the hole for a chance to win an LG high-definition television set. Everyone who plays will also be entered into a draw for a trip to the LG Skins Game in California. At the same time as this street event, LG will also release new television advertising using the tagline, "Don't just watch it. Live it." One commercial shows a group of friends watching a golf tournament on television who are then transported to the tournament itself on a red couch.
