Applanix hires High Road

Technology company Applanix of Richmond Hill, ON has hired Toronto-based High Road Communications to raise awareness of its participation in an event called the DARPA Urban Challenge. The event, which will take place on Nov. 3, is a competition between self-guided vehicles navigating a mock urban area, funded by the US government. High Road will develop a public relations campaign for Applanix in advance of the event. "We chose High Road as our PR partner to help us shape our story for journalists, both leading up to and at the DARPA Urban Challenge," said Jen Schaller, manager of marketing communications at Applanix. "Their innovative ideas and fresh approach is helping us create the PR foundation necessary to gain more traction with key media." Applanix specializes in the development of integrated inertial and GPS products.
