KODAK LAUNCHES DIGITAL CAMERA
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Eastman Kodak introduced a low-priced digital camera called the DC20 to North America this week. In Canada it will sell for $495. Photographers can download pictures from the DC20 to a computer, and Kodak is emphasizing the fact that the photos can be sent to other computers. The camera is packaged with Photoenhancer software that lets users drop pictures into greeting cards, invitations and calendars, and Kai's Power Goo software which distorts images for special effects. On-line advertising for the camera began this week. It was created by Ogilvy & Mather in New York. In Canada print advertising will begin next month, created by O&M in New York and localized by the agency's Toronto office, which will also do the media buy.
