CanWest MediaWorks has signed-on as the lead sponsor of the 2007 National Advertising Awards. The competition invites Canadian advertising professionals to submit original ideas based on a creative brief for a brand, product or philanthropic initiative across various media. The winning teams, which will be announced in May, will go on to participate in the 2007 Cannes Advertising Festival. "As more and more businesses adopt an integrated media approach, the development of an effective media program and compelling creative is critical to the success of their campaigns," said Catherine Bridgman, senior vice-president of marketing ventures at CanWest MediaWorks. "We want to recognize successful Canadian advertising teams and promote their talent across this country and around the world."
