Volt Media opens in Halifax

A new digital signage company called Volt Media has opened in Halifax. The company operates an inventory of out-of-home advertising screens in Atlantic Canada. Its first product is Volt Campus, a collection of displays aimed at 18- to 24-year-old university students. The firm is run by Mike Beauchamp, vice-president of sales, and Jay Aird, vice-president of operations. “Digital signage advertising is growing in popularity,” said Beauchamp. “It allows advertisers to target specific audiences with flexibility. The screen and messages are all electronically controlled, so therefore can be quickly updated without the expense of changing the physical sign itself.”
