KidsFutures expands loyalty program

Toronto-based KidsFutures has added four retail chains to its Futura Rewards Program on a co-branded basis. The national program is intended to assist families to save money for various financial goals. Participants will receive rewards based on the value of purchases made at these locations. The new participants include grocery chains Michael-Angelo's and Galati Market Fresh, both based in Toronto, Associated Grocers of Alberta and Medi-Plus Pharmacies of Thunder Bay, ON. The Futura brand will be integrated into in-store marketing materials, while the retailer’s brands will appear on the program’s collector cards. “The key to a successful loyalty program is to have the partner engaged and ensure that its staff understand the program and remind customers to swipe their cards each time they check out,” said Mark Farrell, CEO of KidsFutures. “Similar to successful programs like Air Miles and Shoppers Optimum, our strategy leverages the power of front-line staff involvement. However, because the card carries the name of the retailer, it enables us to build upon the trust developed between the retailer and its customers. Together, we can help promote the benefits of the program in a much more cost efficient manner and provide a robust loyalty program to retailers at a fraction of what it would cost for them to implement it themselves.”
