Transcontinental Media purchases Triangle News

Transcontinental Media of Montreal has acquired bi-weekly newspaper The Triangle News, based in Coronach, SK. The newspaper is printed at the Times-Herald facility in Moose Jaw, which is owned by Transcontinental. The company’s newspaper group also owns three other newspapers in Saskatchewan. Transcontinental now produces 163 community newspapers nationally. “This acquisition is in line with our long-term strategy to increase our presence in southern Saskatchewan, with a goal of providing editorial and advertising content to more than 65,000 households in 140 communities,” said Marc-Noel Ouellette, senior vice-president of the Newspaper Group at Transcontinental Media. No financial details are available.
