Toronto-based Porter Airlines has signed-on as a sponsor of the 2006 Canadian International Air Show. Porter will provide the use of its hangars, office space, ground handling and business lounge at the Toronto City Centre Airport for the show. Porter’s first aircraft, a Bombardier Aerospace Q400, will also take part in the show each day. Porter will be the only passenger carrier participating in the event. “The Canadian International Air Show is an institution and Porter is thrilled to support such a well-loved event,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “As new members of the Toronto waterfront community, we look forward to participating in this annual event and can't think of a better opportunity to introduce the public to our new Canadian-built aircraft.” The regional airline plans to begin commercial flights this fall.
