Labatt breaks billboard campaign in Quebec City

Labatt has begun an out-of-home campaign in Quebec City in support of its Blue brand. The 37 billboards display copy describing the beer as good, like the goal of Alain Côté. This is a reference to the fifth game of the NHL quarter finals in 1987 between the Quebec Nordiques and the Montreal Canadiens, during which Côté scored an apparent goal that was refused by the referee. The Nordiques lost the game by one goal and subsequently the series. The ads are part of the brewery’s ongoing “Proud to be Blue” campaign.
