Effem holds kitten contest for Whiskas

Toronto-based Effem is preparing a contest called “Only Kittens Can Be Kittens” to promote its Whiskas brand of cat food. From May 24 to June 19, Canadians can submit photographs of their kittens through the brand’s website. A judging panel will select one winner from each of eight regions in the country. The pictures will be judged on uniqueness, authenticity and cuteness. Each winner will be profiled in an upcoming Whiskas calendar. Each winner will also receive $500 worth of cat food and a donation of $500 in cat food to an animal charity of their choice. “Kitten owners take great pride in sharing stories and photos about the memorable things they get up to, and this contest gives owners the perfect outlet to show off how adorable their kittens can be,” said Liisa Mooney, product development manager for the brand.
