PERFUME IS TABU IN BUS SHELTERS

The Houbigant company is giving Canadian transit users something to sniff at. The company launched an ad campaign today in which a whiff of its new fragrance, Dreams by Tabu, is released into a bus shelter at the touch of a switch on a poster. Fifty bus shelters across Canada have been equipped with the scent switch. More than 400 non-scented transit ads have also gone up, as well as two murals in Toronto. The campaign was created by Anderson Advertising of Toronto. ARDTECH Technologies of Pickering, Ont. rigged up the shelter sprays. The Dreams by Tabu line went into pharmacies and department stores across Canada last week. It consists of an Eau de Toilette Spray, Perfumed Satin Talc and Moisturizing Body Lotion. Houbigant is a division of Renaissance Cosmetics Inc. of Laval, Que.
