CHUM Television, Home Depot begin joint promotion

CHUM Television of Toronto and home renovation retailer The Home Depot have begun a joint promotion called "Renovation Blitz." The 12-month campaign, conducted through the CityTV morning show "BreakfastTelevision," will include editorial materials, television commercials and a website. Viewers of the show can enter a contest for $5,000 in home renovation services by submitting a photograph of the area in need of renovation. One entrant per month will be selected for a 24-hour restoration project that will be covered on the show. "The Renovation Blitz is an excellent example of integrating a client into a show's content in a unique and relevant way," said Jill Schneiderman, manager of creative media solutions at CHUM. "The Home Depot is a natural fit with BreakfastTelevision audiences and we are glad to be working together on this exciting initiative."
