Clear Channel Outdoor adds projected ads to Toronto airport

Toronto-based Clear Channel Outdoor has installed a projection advertising system at Pearson International Airport in Toronto. The system displays advertising on a 14 by 25 foot screen in the arrivals baggage claim area of Terminal One. The advertising consists of a 12-minute loop divided into two-minute sections. The first clients to use the display include Saab, the Bank of Montreal, Oracle, Palm and American Express. "The arrivals level is one of the busiest areas at the airport, with tens of thousands of people passing through each day," said Alan High, the company's vice-president marketing and operations. "This system is the first of its kind to be installed in an airport in Canada and gives advertisers the opportunity to display high quality messages in a bold manner." Clear Channel Outdoor holds the exclusive advertising rights for the three Toronto airport terminals and for the Vancouver International Airport.
