The Globe and Mail of Toronto has redesigned its core group of websites, located at globeandmail.com, globeinvestor.com, globefund.com and globetechnology.com. The design, described by the company as "more contemporary," includes simpler and more consistent navigation, new colours and fonts, and better ease-of-use. The new design also allows for larger earlug ad banners, skyscrapers, boxes and buttons, as well as non-standard forms of creative. The changes also extend to the alerts and newsletters associated with these sites. According to the company, these website attract approximately 3.5 million unique visitors per month. "As the Globe websites have thrived in building their own substantial, loyal audiences, we've adjusted the look and navigation to be user-friendly while still consistent with The Globe and Mail brand," said publisher and CEO Phillip Crawley "We've also opened up new, attractive advertising options. It's the same strong content but in an even better context." The Globe and Mail is a division of Bell Globemedia.
