Maisonneuve to become Montreal city magazine
By Adnews Staff
Montreal-based Maisonneuve will relaunch in September as a bi-monthly magazine about life in that city. The two-year-old publication is currently a national general interest magazine. The modified publication, to be called Maisonneuve: Montreal's Magazine, will be aimed at English-speaking Montrealers, particularly those who are youthful, urban, sophisticated, active and affluent. "Montreal, arguably North America's most unique city, has not had a city magazine for over a decade," said publisher and editor-in-chief Derek Webster. "But Montreal has made a comeback, and Maisonneuve will capture the spirit and joie de vivre of this vibrant city." The magazine is aiming for a circulation of 30,000, two-thirds of which will be paid. The relaunch will be promoted with a direct mail campaign in the spring and fall of this year.
