Canada's Walk of Fame retains Venture Communications
Toronto-based Canada's Walk of Fame has hired Venture Communications of Calgary to develop the organization's brand positioning. Established in 1998, the Walk of Fame works to recognize the accomplishments of Canadians who have excelled in the fields of the arts, entertainment or sports. Venture will create a two-year communications plan aimed at increasing awareness of the organization leading up to its 10th anniversary. The aim of the plan is to change the perception of the brand from a one-night awards show to a year-round presence. "Venture has demonstrated a strong understanding of our organization and of our brand," said Walk of Fame president Peter Soumalias. "They know where we need to take our brand and have the expertise and experience that can help us get there."
