Sponsorship roundup

Hudson's Bay Company of Toronto has begun a postcard fundraising campaign as part of its sponsorship of Canadian athletes competing at the Torino Winter Olympic Games and the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. The company will sell a series of postcards at its retail locations. The proceeds will go to support amateur athletics in Canada. Each card has a place for the customer to write a message to the athletes. The cards will be delivered to the athletes' village during the games. The promotion will run until mid-February. The company has a seven-year Olympic sponsorship agreement.
The Canadian National Railway Company has signed a sponsorship agreement with golfer Lorie Kane. During the three-year term of the deal, Kane will wear the CN logo on her hat during events on the LPGA Tour. Three months ago, CN became the title sponsor of the LPGA Tour Canadian Women's Open tournament, the Canadian Women's Tour and junior golf development program Future Links.
