Epson Canada of Toronto has signed on as a sponsor of Montreal-based Cirque du Soleil. The imaging equipment company will be the official sponsor of 240 Canadian performances by the entertainment troupe in 2006 and 2007. The deal includes the touring shows Quidam and Varekai, a new production that will debut in the spring of 2007, and a show called Delirium: Turning Music into Motion which will premiere on Jan. 26. "Epson perfectly fits our definition of an ideal corporate partner," said Ryan Sandilands, director of corporate alliances at Cirque du Soleil. "They are a category leader and also a category shaper, developing new and innovative products which delight their consumers worldwide."
