Bell Canada lines-up NHL players for in-store promotion

Bell Canada has begun an in-store promotion tied to its sponsorship of the National Hockey League. Between Oct. 22 and Oct. 29, former NHL players will visit Bell World retail stores in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary to sign autographs and play video game hockey with customers. Players participating in the promotion include Joel Otto, Jacques Demers, Wendel Clark, Lanny MacDonald, Benoît Brunet, Doug Gilmour and Darryl Sittler. Bell's hockey-related products and services for cell phones include NHL team faceplates, hockey-themed screensavers and ringtones, plus game alerts and statistic retrieval services. The company's Sympatico.MSN.ca website also carries a number of NHL information features, while the Bell ExpressVu satellite television service offers a variety of NHL programming options.
