Moosehead hires Leo Burnett

Leo Burnett Toronto has been hired by Moosehead Breweries of Saint John, NB to handle marketing for the Moosehead Lager brand. The agency got the account on Sept. 1 after summer discussions based on the existing relationship between Moosehead and Arc Worldwide, Leo Burnett's marketing services division. Arc manages the brewer's loyalty program. "We were looking for a new agency model," said Jim Eagles, marketing vice-president at Moosehead. "One agency with the ability to create a meaningful brand idea and translate that idea across all consumer contact points. The Leo Burnett team was able to demonstrate that they understood how to create meaningful, integrated campaigns." Advertising for the Moosehead brand was previously handled by Goodgoll Vendramin of Toronto.
