McCain Foods begins Potato Facts campaign

McCain Foods has launched a national education campaign called "Potato Facts" intended to promote the nutritional benefits of potatoes to Canadian consumers. The campaign will include print ads in the November issues of Canadian Living, Coup de Pouce, Chatelaine, Today's Parent and Le Magasin Enfant Quebec. In addition, bookmarks displaying potato nutrition information will be distributed to consumers this month at retailer stores which are part of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers. A new website has also been constructed at <http://www.potatofacts.ca> which contains more information in French and English. C2 Communications of Moncton produced the print ad. AOR Media Management of Toronto handled the media buy. IStudio designed the new website. Fleishman Hillard Canada of Toronto is conducting a public relations campaign, including a spokesperson media tour and a mailing to registered dietitians. McCain is conducting this campaign in association with the PEI Potato Board, Potatoes New Brunswick, the Keystone Vegetable Producers' Association and the Potato Growers of Alberta.
