True North buys Artshouse Communications

Mississauga-based True North has purchased marketing communications firm Artshouse Communications of Toronto. Artshouse specializes in sales incentive programs, sales promotions, event marketing and design communications. The company had revenues of approximately $3 million in the fiscal year 2004. According to True North, the cost of the acquisition, including the assumption of debt, was $700,000. "Artshouse expands TNC's client base in new verticals and strengthens our existing strategic and tactical marketing services," said True North president Mark Anthony. "The selection of Artshouse was motivated by their reputation for exceeding client expectations and delivering results. Artshouse's services represent the fastest growing segments of the marketing industry." True North's services include marketing communications, event marketing and sales channel marketing, along with merchandising, distribution and fulfillment.
