Ford, Shoppers Drug Mart begin points promotion

The Ford Motor Company of Canada has begun a joint promotion called "Get to the Points" with retail chain Shoppers Drug Mart. During the national promotion, the first phase of which will run until Oct. 31, customers who buy eligible 2006 Ford and Lincoln vehicles will receive 200,000 Optimum Points. Optimum is the Shoppers Drug Mart loyalty program. "This program is a new way to reach out to millions of Canadians, particularly women, to give them another reason to choose from our range of cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles," said David Greenberg, vice-president of marketing at Ford Canada.
