Fidelity Investments releases new campaign

Toronto-based mutual fund company Fidelity Investments Canada will break a new campaign today featuring musician Paul McCartney. The campaign will begin with a 30-second television commercial called "This is Paul," which will present a chronological tour of McCartney's life. The ad is a continuation of the company's previous creative which similarly recounted the life stories of various investors. This is, however, the first execution to make use of a celebrity. A French-language version of the ad will be released on Sept. 12. The commercial will air on CBC, CTV, Global, SRC, TQS and TVA, plus various specialty channels. National newspaper advertising will also be used. Localized advertising will coincide with stops on McCartney's upcoming concert tour, of which Fidelity is a sponsor. The campaign, which is also running in the U.S., was created for Boston-based Fidelity Investments by Arnold Worldwide.
