Moosehead introduces international cans
By Adnews Staff
Saint John-based Moosehead Breweries has issued a set of limited edition collectable beer cans depicting several countries in which the beer is sold. The cans, designed by The Extreme Group of Moncton, depict the United States, Australia, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Mexico, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Hong Kong and Canada. They will be distributed in 24-packs of Moosehead in Ontario, along with a poster picturing the entire collection, until Sept. 30. "The design team wanted to emphasize how closely the moose is associated with Canada internationally," said Jim Eagles, the brewer's vice-president of marketing. "People think of Canada when they see the moose, just like they think of France when someone says "Eiffel Tower' or Ireland when they see a shamrock. The cans are our way of showcasing our popularity and offering Canadian consumers a chance to connect with drinkers around the world."
