Cervelo Cycles begins Tour de France campaign

Bicycle maker Cervélo Cycles of Toronto will begin an ad campaign today during OLN coverage of the Tour de France. The ten-second ads, produced by Maverick Editorial, will run daily until July 24, when the channel's coverage will end. According to the company, the campaign was put together in a week after Cervélo was approached by Omnicom Canada. "Though this is the third year for Cervélo bikes in the Tour, it is our first ever on TV," said Gerard Vroomen, co-founder of the company. "We gave Omnicom footage of Dave Zabriskie from the early stages of this year's tour, in both a humorous situation and in action riding the fastest time trial ever recorded at the tour. In those vignettes we saw an interesting story to tell about our bikes."
