Sympatico.MSN.ca introduces pay-per-click ads
By Adnews Staff
Bell Canada has introduced a new pay-per-click Internet advertising service called Bell Virtual Marketplace for its website Sympatico.MSN.ca. Users of the service choose a content channel for their advertising that matches their desired audience. These channels include finance, entertainment, automobile and health content. Advertisers will bid for a per-click price for the ad space on these channels. The advertiser will then pay that price for each clicked ad. The bid price can also be altered as a campaign progresses. Clicking on an ad will take a visitor to the site to the advertiser's own website. "Virtual Marketplace helps businesses attract new customers by placing their online ads in front of targeted buyers in relevant content channels," said Sean Moore, manager of advertising strategy and partnerships at Bell Sympatico. "It gives online advertisers a new way to market on the Internet to reach interested customers for less than the cost of a postage stamp." According to the company, Sympatico.MSN.ca reaches approximately 84% of Canadians on the Internet.
