Wild on Media launches airborne advertising division

Toronto-based Wild on Media has opened a new division called Wild on Wings. The out-of-home company will use the division to operate 10,000 square foot advertising banners towed behind helicopters over outdoor events in Toronto and Vancouver. "Skymurals are the most dramatic colour advertising possible," said company president George Christidis. "The combination of the sheer dramatic size of the display and the thump of the helicopter blades ensures all eyes turn to the skies. The ability to dominate the skyline presents a potent media for companies seeking a statement with impact." Bell Canada is currently using the company's inventory as part of its 125th anniversary campaign. This campaign began on June 25 and will run until Labour Day. Global Television will begin a campaign today using these banners to promote their current "Global's Calling" contest. Earlier this month, 20th Century Fox used the banners to promote the movie "The Fantastic Four." Wild on Media's other divisions are Wild on Walls, which operates video billboards, and Wild on Wheels, which offers vehicle-based advertising.
