DDB Canada creates campaign for National Jazz Awards

DDB Canada recently created a campaign for the 2005 National Jazz Awards in Canada. The campaign consisted of a television commercial and two print ads. The TV ad, called "Death Becomes You," showed a makeup artist in a morgue attempting to improvise like a jazz player, resulting in a corpse that looks like a rock musician. The ad ended with the tagline, "There's a place for improvisation." The first print ad, called "Map," displayed a map to the event on the neck of a guitar. The second, called "Player," attempted to evoke the atmosphere of a jazz club. The National Jazz Awards took place on June 21.
