Maclean's hires two

Maclean's magazine of Toronto has appointed Mark Stevenson to the position of editor. He will jointly share responsibility to the publication's day-to-day editorial operations with the editor-in-chief, Ken Whyte. Stevenson was most recently national editor of The Globe and Mail. Prior to that, he was managing editor of the National Post. He has also worked at Saturday Night, Canadian Business, the Financial Times of Canada and Alberta Report. Dianne de Fenoyl has joined Maclean's as assistant managing editor. She will assign and edit stories for several sections of the magazine and assist the senior editors in day-to-day operations. De Fenoyl was previously editor of the Review section at The Globe and Mail. She has also been editor of the Globe's Saturday Toronto section, executive editor of Saturday Night and Elm Street magazines, and life editor of the National Post.
