Astral Media forms advertising deal with Dr Clown

Astral Media has formed a three-year sponsorship deal with Dr Clown, a non-profit organization that sends professional clowns to hospitals. Astral will provide the charity with $3 million worth of advertising during the term of the agreement, which will take the form of a campaign on Astral's television, radio and outdoor properties. The campaign, created by Allard Johnson, is intended to raise awareness of Dr Clown in Quebec. Astral will also take part in a number of the group's fundraising efforts over the next three years. "This partnership will allow Dr Clown to grow and flourish as an organization," said Germaine Gibara, president of the board of directors of Dr Clown. "In order to meet the demand for our services, we need to further develop our profile with the community and donors of all sizes. By giving us visibility on their advertising properties, Astral Media will allow us to communicate our activities to a greater number of people, thereby expanding our base for donations."
