Mining institute hires Xposure for media relations campaign

Xposure PR of Toronto has been hired by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum to carry out a media relations campaign intended to educate consumers about the role played by the mining and minerals industry in Canadian life. The institute is a technical society of professionals in the Canadian minerals, metals, materials and energy industries. The agency will also handle media relations for the institute's first annual "Mining in Society" show, which will take place later this month in Toronto. "We have a tremendous opportunity to profile the importance of the mining industry during this period of expansion," said agency president Betty Alexander. "Xposure PR will help the CIM build awareness of the mining industry among key audiences, including the investment community, industry professionals and the public-at-large."
