SPRINT TARGETS BUSINESSES

Sprint Canada of Toronto is launching an ad and public relations campaign next week for a program the long distance phone service provider says gives business good rates. The campaign uses TV, print and direct mail advertising created by Grey Advertising of Toronto. ETC Communications of Toronto is handling PR. Sprint's The Most For Business program has two levels of rates for long-distance calling, toll-free Internet access and use of the Foncard. The entry package offers rates that Sprint says are 50% lower than costs for comparable services from the provincial and regional phone services. The other package offers even better rates for businesses with monthly billings of over $200. At both levels there are time-of-day discounts and greater discounts in higher volume months. In January Sprint introduced a plan it called The Most, under which rates were reduced for home subscribers.
