Volkswagen begins Doctor Who promotion

CBC Television and Volkswagen Canada have begun a joint promotion tied to the recent debut on the network of the new "Doctor Who" television series. The 13-part BBC science fiction series began airing in Canada on April 5. Volkswagen has signed on as the show's exclusive broadcast sponsor to promote the latest Jetta. The car maker is receiving on-air exposure, plus inclusion on Web-based and public relations materials. The company is also the exclusive sponsor of an online contest related to the series.
