Toronto-based furniture retailer Ikea Canada debuted a television series called "Space for Living" over the weekend. The 13-episode series of 30-minute programs will air weekly on specialty channel HGTV Canada. The show will cover travel, home decor, art, design and lifestyle and attempt to "make the everyday life better for the many by understanding how people live." The episodes will include Ikea products as "unbranded editorial," according to the company. The show is intended to be a way for the retailer to reach existing and potential customers by demonstrating that Ikea understands their way of life and sells products that will fit their style. "Space for Living offers a snapshot of how different people live around the world," said executive producer France Fontana Hart. "It showcases how people use creative home furnishing solutions that fit with their existing style, needs and budget. Each component of the show adds a valuable lesson in inspirational design solutions."
