CanWest readies new magazine for young urbanites

CanWest MediaWorks will launch a new free daily magazine called Dose on April 4 in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa. The print product will be accompanied by a website at <http://www.dose.ca> and a wireless service. The publication is aimed at urban Canadians aged 18 to 34. Capital C of Toronto has been hired to handle marketing communications for the launch. The campaign will include street-level initiatives, word-of-mouth programs, media relations and a launch event. No further details are available at this time. "Dose's target audience is elusive, connected and highly-sophisticated," said agency CEO Tony Chapman. "We are confident that our mix of capabilities from traditional promotions and street-level tactics, to public relations, special events, new media and experiential marketing will resonate with Dose's audience and marketers alike."
