Knorr begins cafe-style soup sampling program

Soup maker Knorr will begin a sampling program today at the corner of King and Bay Streets in Toronto. The company will operate a recreational vehicle at that location made over to resemble a European café, including a canopy, tables, music, heaters and a Smart Car. Promotional workers will distribute samples of Knorr's Ready to Serve line of soups during the mid-morning, lunch hour and mid-afternoon. The workers will also distribute take-home packages of soup during the evening commute. The café is the first component in a new marketing campaign for Ready to Serve soup. The next element will be a door-hanger sampling program to approximately 100,000 Canadian households. The Ready to Serve launch initiative was developed by the Takamatsu Group of Toronto.
