CIBC conducts Cirque du Soleil promotion

Toronto-based CIBC has begun a contest to promote its sponsorship of the 2005 Cirque du Soleil Canadian tour. The contest, called "Win the magic of Cirque du Soleil," is open to customers who open a new chequing or savings account with the bank. Winners will receive trips to Paris, Las Vegas or Toronto to see Cirque du Soleil performances, or other prizes including home theatre equipment and Cirque du Soleil DVDs. The initiative will run from March 1 to April 30, promoted with newspaper, television, radio, outdoor, online, in-branch and direct advertising. The television commercial consists of footage from various Cirque du Soleil shows. Advertising for CIBC is produced by Publicis. Promotional work, in-branch collateral materials and direct mail are being handled by Fuse. NK Public Relations is CIBC's PR agency for corporate sponsorships.
