Doug Agency hired by Northwest Mutual Funds

Toronto-based Northwest Mutual Funds has appointed Doug Agency of Toronto its agency of record for branding and communication. The company began a review of an unknown number of agencies in October. "Our decision to go with Doug Agency was based on a common vision," said Paul Saunders, marketing director at Northwest. "We are building a boutique mutual fund company that is thriving and eager to find a partner that shares the same philosophies and objectives. Doug Agency's proven ability and category experience made the agency a natural fit." Doug will now manage English- and French-language advertising for Northwest, beginning with a new print, radio and elevator advertising campaign this month. The campaign will portray Northwest as "aiming for better returns with less risk."
