OLYMPIC CLOTHING LAUNCHED BY CHAMPION

Champion Canada launched three lines of Olympic apparel late last month, called Official Gear, Xtragear and Atlanta Gear. The Official Gear line carries both the Official Gear logo and the Canadian Olympic Association logo. The Xtragear line features the Canadian Olympic Association logo and various graphics. The Atlanta Gear carries the Atlanta Games flame logo. Items in the lines include jersey shorts, T-shirts, jersey tank tops, polo shirts, hats and warm-up suits. Radio advertising for the clothing will begin next month. Flyers are being distributed this week. Champion's Canadian agency is K. Mac & Associates Marketing of Mississauga, Ont. The Champion parent company launched the Olympic line in the U.S. last November.
