McCain Foods appoints Fleishman-Hillard global communications agency

McCain Foods of Florenceville, NB has assigned its global communications and public relations to Fleishman-Hillard. The agency won the account in a competitive pitch process that involved an unknown number of other firms. Fleishman-Hillard will provide counsel regarding strategic positioning, crisis management and issues management. "On a daily basis we read about food issues affecting our industry," said Dale Morrison, president of McCain Foods. "To better understand this environment and appropriately position our company for the future, we decided to hire experts to explore our opportunities." Frozen food producer McCain has annual sales of $6 billion and employs approximately 20,000 people worldwide. "Through our network of dedicated food and nutrition professionals, we are well suited to assisting McCain Foods," said Linda Smith, executive vice-president and regional director at Fleishman-Hillard Canada.
