Cadbury resumes bunny campaign
By Adnews Staff
Chocolate maker Cadbury Adams has resumed its annual Easter campaign for Cadbury Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs with a new television commercial featuring product spokescharacter, the "Clucking Bunny." The ad, called "Bunny Hunt," was created by Publicis Canada of Toronto. In it, two people search for the bunny in order to get more eggs from it. During the search they find bunnies that moo, bark and bah before finding the bunny that clucks. "The Clucking Bunny is an unmistakable and highly recognizable sign that Easter is coming and we wanted to emphasize his role as the sole delivery device for Cadbury Creme Eggs," said Duncan Bruce, executive creative director at Publicis. "Placing him in a field of bunny impostors reminds the viewer that there can be no imitations." The national campaign began in English and French on Jan. 17 and will run until March 27.
