SPACE READIES NEW ON-AIR VISUALS
By Adnews Staff
Specialty channel Space: The Imagination Station will debut a new logo and on-air appearance on Jan. 1. The work, handled by in-house creative services and outside designers, includes new station IDs, disclaimers, quotes, promo elements and openings for the segments "Movies from Space" and "SpaceNews." The logo consists of two black swirls which form a circular shape with the outline of an "S" between them. "After seven years, we thought the time was right to create a new contemporary Space logo with a strong, fluid icon that could be used to reflect the evolution of our brand and programming," said the channel's creative director, Gord McWatters. Space is a 24-hour English-language national service that carries science fiction and fantasy programming. It is a division of CHUM Television of Toronto.
