RESTAURANT CHAIN EYES CANADA

Planet Hollywood is coming to Canada in October and needs a PR agency to promote it, spokesperson Heather Crosby told Adnews yesterday. The celebrity-backed restaurant chain is currently accepting proposals, and will make a decision before the first outlet opens in Toronto in October. Another will open in Vancouver shortly after that. Planet Hollywood has 31 locations in eight countries. Most have stores and bars attached and are packed with movie memorabilia such as Judy Garland's dress from The Wizard of Oz and Sharon Stone's ice pick from Basic Instinct. The Canadian restaurants will be supported by advertising, handled in-house. Planet Hollywood's shareholders include Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg.
