CANADIAN CLUB CAMPAIGN TO RUN IN US

The US-based parent company of Corby Distilleries, Allied Domecq, has picked up two commercials for Canadian Club rye made by Goodgoll Vendramin of Toronto. The ads will run on US cable networks for ten weeks beginning this month. The first ad shows an empty glass. A finger moves around the rim of the glass, producing a tone. Canadian Club is poured into the glass. The moving finger then produces music. In the second ad, the music is a Christmas carol. "We're delighted to create an international ad campaign for a global brand," said agency president Trevor Goodgoll. "Our aim simply was to enhance brand stature by communicating quality in an unequivocal way."
