FORD RELEASES 2005 LINEUP COMMERCIAL

Ford of Canada, based in Oakville, ON, has released a new 30-second television commercial indented to attract potential car buyers to dealerships for test drives of its 2005 product line. The ad, called "Next Generation of Ford," broke on Nov. 13 and will run until Nov. 19. The ad promotes a number of new and modified vehicles: the Five Hundred, the Freestyle, the Escape, the Mustang and the F-Series Super Duty. "The television advertising tested very well in research groups, and many of the viewers indicated that they were motivated to visit a dealership to see what the 'Next Generation of Ford' was all about," said Terry Spyropoulos, Ford of Canada's advertising manager. The campaign also includes a double page, colour newspaper ad that will run in 14 daily newspapers while the commercial is in circulation. Advertising for Ford of Canada is handled by Young & Rubicam.
