ROGERS WIRELESS BREAKS HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Cell phone provider Rogers Wireless of Toronto has released two television commercials as part of a holiday shopping season campaign. Created by MacLaren McCann, the ads depict people using cell phones to keep in touch with family members. The first ad shows a man at a Christmas tree farm using a camera phone to send pictures of trees to his wife. The second ad shows several members of a family sending pictures of potential gifts to their mother for her opinion. Both ads broke nationally on Nov. 4. Print and out-of-home advertising will begin today. This will consist of interior transit, cinema, washroom, shopping mall, billboard and transit shelter advertising. Radio ads will break on Nov. 15. The campaign promotes a number of airtime packages and services aimed at families and couples. It will run until Dec. 31. MacLaren McCann has also produced a campaign for the Rogers MuchMusic Edition Pay-As-You-Go Phone, which is aimed at young adults. This campaign, which began on Nov. 2, also includes television, radio, print, transit, cinema and washroom advertising.
